poll #1 a feeling of freedom...

I got the idea of conducting polls about all different kinds of topics with all different kinds of people...to post here...
cos I thought it would be interesting to get a view of how other people no matter where they come from or what they do...think about particular things...

the first topic I got to pick was A FEELING OF FREEDOM

meaning...what gives u a feeling of freedom like for the moment... or what do u think would give u a feeling of freedom...meaning u have not experienced it yet...
I got the idea of this poll some days ago when it was the first sunny and warm day after ages (at least that is what it felt like...) when everyone in the street was smiling and obviously happier than ever...even me when I had had some pretty fuckin bad days before...

then I came to think it would be lovely to just be able to express one's happiness by dancing in the street like a child or like some people do somewhere else on earth... but of course I did not do it because I got a sense of shame... cos here in europe, people would not really do such a thing, eh? but hey. why not?
I gotta say...dancing is for me the best way to let down my guard... and sometimes with my iPod on I tend to forget about where I am and then I start going with the beat... but when I realize where I am...I am like...fuck and stop it all of a sudden...
but hell yeah, I guess it would give me a feeling of freedom if I could just dance in the street or wherever I am because dancing makes me feel free...

JAEDONG


Jaedong is, believe it or not, in his early thirties and already got a job. When I asked him what he thinks about when he thinks about a feeling of freedom or what could trigger such a feeling inside him, he had to think about it...and yes, answering a question like that spontaneously might be kinda difficult...on the other hand... in this case...I would really get to know what people come to mind spontaneously when being asked such a question...cos what I am talking about is rather a feeling of freedom for the moment and not freedom in general...but ok...
his answer was...that for him freedom means being able to do whatever u want to do...wherever u are not having to be scared of the consequences that your actions could trigger out... for him that was actually the best thing about being an artist...cos they are obviously able to do their job no matter where they are...they can do what they want because they ain't got real committments...

FRANZISKA


Franziska is in her early twenties and an university student. she used to study English and History, but is gonna swap her second major next term, that's to say History to Spanish...she is going to become a teacher...
Being able to travel around the world without facing any financial trouble would give her a feeling a freedom...and when I asked her whether she could think of something that would give her a feeling of freedom just for the moment in one particular situation she found it kind of difficult to explain... but then pointed out that just hanging out with friends, talking to them could make her forget about all the sorrows in her head and thus gives her a feeling of freedom, as well...
well hey, it is simple, but it is so nice though... yeah, being with the people u love makes u let down your hair...

MICHAELA


Michaela is thirty, even though, she looks a lot younger, as well... she is going to become a teacher, too in History and Social Studies.
before that she had already been studying law for 4 years, when she finally found out that it was just not the right thing and is totally happy now with what she is doing. plus there are no regrets, which I find is pretty cool... because I personally tend to regret everything...

when I asked her about what would give her personally a feeling of freedom, her answer was fast and thus pretty spontaneous... she would hug everyone, meaning even foreigners, on the street because that is what she always wanted to do...
hey that is a pretty cool guess, as well...I would probably not quite hug everyone...but sometimes I came to think that it would be great if people, even though they do not know each other at all would just dare to communicate every once in a while...

KARIN


Karin is in her early twenties, as well and studying Business Administration. She is really interested in fashion and Arts, though and one of my closest friends by the way... she is my shelter and my favourite model...^^
I had this talk with her and when I asked her whether there was something giving her a feeling of freedom just for one moment...she said it was the wind...
meaning...letting herself caught by the wind...you hear me, eh...
sometimes the wind blows so strong it kind of carries u away so for her exactly that feeling makes her feel free for the moment...
I thought about it...and I know that feeling...but for me...it is rather a bit scary, on the other hand it is a nice thought...letting yourself carry by the wind as if you were flying...
